Gunjan Menon
Gunjan Menon is a conservation filmmaker and the co-founder of Beyond Premieres, specialising in documentaries and impact campaigns that explore the interconnectedness of humans and wildlife, bridging the gap between indigenous knowledge and Western science. With over 50 international awards across 20 countries, her films have ignited conservation movements, inspired policy change, and raised international awareness about lesser-known species like red pandas and black softshell turtles. Gunjan is an ecofeminist, an advocate for intersectional climate justice, and dedicated to making nature and filmmaking more accessible for underrepresented voices. She leads workshops on storytelling for emerging BIPOC creators and scientists for organisations like the Green Hub in India, NEWF in Africa, and Girls Who Click.
