Alizé Carrère

Dr. Alizé Carrère is a scientist, filmmaker, and National Geographic Explorer whose research and storytelling efforts cover human adaptation to environmental change. She has conducted research around the world, including in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and East Africa. Alizé is also the creator, director, and host of the award-winning PBS Digital docuseries ADAPTATION, documenting community-driven resilience worldwide. She was awarded a 2026 Explorers Club Impact Grant for her fieldwork this summer with the project "Expedition into the Future: Visionary Climate Adaptation in the Republic of the Marshall Islands."
