Palestinian Aziz Abu Sarah is a Peace activist, journalist, social entrepreneur, and politician. He was appointed as an Explorer by National Geographic in 2011 for his innovative work as a cultural educator.
Born and raised in Jerusalem, Abu Sarah witnessed on his skin the tensions and conflicts that afflict his homeland, inspiring him to seek peaceful and constructive solutions to the challenges faced by his community and the world. Aziz Abu Sarah has dedicated his life to uniting Israelis and Palestinians in order to foster mutual understanding and good relations between the people.
Aziz has spoken at hundreds of churches, synagogues, and mosques, not to mention the European Parliament and the United Nations. In his speeches, he addresses topics such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, peace, reconciliation, and inter-religious dialogue. He serves as the co-executive director of the Center for World Religions, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University.
The Palestinian Aziz co-founded several organizations, including "MEJDI Tours", a tourism company focused on offering travel experiences that promote mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence between the people. Additionally, he has played a significant role in organizing educational and cultural programs aimed at promoting understanding and cooperation between divided communities.
