Co-Founder of Blueye Robotics
Christine Spiten is Co-Founder of Blueye Robotics, developers of the
Blueye Pioneer underwater drone that allows anyone to explore the ocean
down to 150m depth from a smartphone. She is a Co-Captain at
EntrepreneurShip One, a company dedicated to creating a platform for
other sustainability oriented startups. She holds an M.Sc. in Industrial
Economics and Technology Management from the Norwegian University of
Life Sciences, a degree in underwater robotics from Federal University
of Rio de Janeiro and has studied International Entrepreneurship at
University of California, Berkeley.
Spiten is a former Norwegian champion in sailing, has lived on a sailing
boat for years and is passionate about caring for the ocean by focusing
on increased exploration, experience and knowledge of the ocean through
he use of technology, based on the belief that "You take care of what
you love." Spiten has been selected by Forbes Magazine as one of the
"30 under 30 most important Tech Founders," "World's Top 50 Women in
Tech 2018," "Norway's 50 most important female tech founders," in 2017
and 2018, and "Top 10 Norwegian Female Tech Entrepreneurs 2018."
